Neem Oil...Does It Work ?

Has anyone ever used Neem Oil ? I see Walmart sells it now. Is it effective against bugs ?

My grandma used to use it as an insect deterrent in the garden. Smelled disgusting but it worked.

My wife used it against a aphid infestation in her roses. It worked well. It’s a natural pesticide.

We grow Neem trees. Using a high speed blender, create a wet mix with some hot peppers and then tiny bit of olive oil and dish soap into a diluted spray bottle with added water (no solids, filtered using a paper cloth). Spray it on vegetables, flowers. Works very well.

I used it on a red maple that had a fungus or something on it. Worked very well.

My father uses neem oil on his little vegetable garden. It smells awful but it seems to work.

I had similar results. Used it on both roses and other plants and it worked really well and it stayed active for a decent amount of time before needing reapplication. Duration of effectiveness really depending on weather and how many rain storms we had.
