I have been succesful many times wetsanding and buffing my headlights. However they re-yellow after 6-8 months.

Is there a way to coat the lense with something like a auto clear coat, or something out of a rattle can?

Did you wetsand and apply over a 1500 grit scratch, or did you finish the buff, then solvent disolve the silicone coating from the compound and apply the clear over the perfectly smooth surface.

Mine come out like glass, and I am afraid adhesion cannot occur unless I leave some sand scratch. However I do not want the scratch to come thru or be visable after the clear.

I used (2) coats of Rejex on my headlights, although not that long ago. I do think it is important to periodically refresh whatever it is you choose to apply.
