I need to source some quality jumper cables, but I'm a cheapskate deal hunter so I want a competitive price relative to whatever I get.

I want 20' absolute minimum and pure copper, not CCAl.

There are inexpensive offerings on Amazon that promise pure copper but I'm a little skeptical, plus I wonder if the clamps will tick me off.

I'm honestly not that concerned with COO if the product is decent

I know this comes up periodically but prices change, sales come and go and the market fluctuates.

Suggestions?

$awg solid fine stranded welding cable. Steel clamps with copper jaws. I bought my latest set 30 yrs ago. IIRC they were 35$ from Western Auto. My other 2 sets are even older. I don't think AL should be used to conduct electricity. Just a superstition of mine

Northern has them on sale from time to time. Put people are using jump packs these days rather than jumper cables.

go find some Deka brand jumper cables, they have some higher buck 100% copper cables, check on farm type stores in your area.

Fleet and Farm has the Deka brand if I remember correctly. Good cables. Figure $75-$100 for a 20FT set of copper cables. Others suggested the DIY route, may be cheaper but the copper cable is the $$$$ part.

This is for 4AWG @ $3.59/ft. They have 2AWG also @$5.86/ft if you want that. They also have heavy duty clamps at $15 pair.

So, you can get a nice set of 4AWG at 20 feet for a bit over $100. DIY route.

In searching last night I found Blain's has the Deka 00183 for $109. This is 2ga and 20'

But then I decided to check Big R -- a relatively obscure regional ag store -- and they have a "Durastart" 2ga 20' at $90.

The Deka might be US-made (I know some are, but not sure all are?) and I doubt the Durastarts are US COO, but they still claim 100% copper.

For some reason 16' just strikes me as too short for practical use, but that may just be in my head ("I said, 'So's everything,' but he didn't get it")

I think to satisfy your list, making them yourself might be the way to go. My go to pair, i bought from a commercial truck repair place in WY years ago, other than that the few other pair I have are typical quality.

My point being 100% copper might be a hard on to prove by buying a set.
