Need an oil suggestion

I need some suggestions from the collective wisdom of the group. I have a '07 Focus with 4 cyl. and auto trans. I've been using Mobil 1 (5W-20 as per owner's manual) with a Wix filter.
I'm looking for a suggestion for a syn oil that will make some of the engines internal bits a little quieter. The engine runs well and the OCI is 6 - 6500 miles. Any suggestions?

If you want quieter, go both conventional and thicker. Try some Mobil Super 5w30.

If you want to stay with a Full Synthetic try Castrol Edge in the gold bottle. Depending on how current the stock is it'll say "Edge with Ti" or "Extended Performance" on it.

Quietest Full Synthetic I've run yet.

My 2005 Mazda 3 has the same 2.0L engine my wife's 2007 focus has. I just switched to Castrol Edge 5W30 from Mobil 1 and my engine is much quieter. With the wife's I just use conventional 5W30 every 3K miles.

Motorcraft synthetic blend. We use it on our fleet and OCI is at 5,000 miles with about 500-700 miles of life left. Wix filter will do good with that oil.

I'd try Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-20 , Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 or Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20. All three are quieter than regular M1 or Motorcraft Semi-Syn in our Honda 3.0, Subaru 2.5 and Fiesta 1.6L engines.

If you use the Mobil 1 Extended Performance with good filter (e.g. Fram Ultra, M1) you can double your OCI (15K/1 yr) with no ill effects.

My 2.3 Duratec (03'Focus SE), and I, have been extremely happy with the combination of....Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 and the Fram Ultra Filter.

Depending on your driving habits, an OCI of 7500 (severe) or 10,000 (normal) can easily be done. This oil is not only a good cleaning oil, but runs quietly and efficiently in my Focus.

NOTE: If you do a 7500 OCI, you should easily be able to do 15,000 on the Fram Ultra filter (i.e. 2 X 7500).

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Satinsilver, you are sharp! I must have had a senior moment after I posted my old request for the same info and completely forgot about it. Oh well, at least I now have some good suggestions for a "quieter" oil. Thanks again guys.

Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 or Pennzoil Ultra 5w20 have both kept my Corolla silenced.. Not a very quiet engine to start with..
