The car looks decent externally. If you are not cash strap and are mechanically incline, then I see this as a great project car. I didn't catch whether or not it will start and run in its current condition. If it does, then it would be a great fix-me-up ride. I know I would do that if I can find a Corolla, Camry, or Accord wagon with AWD. I love the all AWD Corolla wagon. They are good for on-road bad weather driving and actually still get mid 20s mpg without any problem.
I can fix Corolla and know a enough about Camry and Accord to get start and parts are not too expensive. I don't have a clue about BMW or European makes to tackle the project.
