Have a 15 year old craftsman acetate set. It’s just time to get some new ones.

I don’t want to spend a ton. Just want something quality and balancing price.

Would appreciate the advice if you all

I have had a wera set for the past few years which is holding up to abuse. The rubber handle vs hard plastic is nice.
You have to buy a few different sets as I don't see a comprehensive one that includes stubbys.

This is a pretty decent set for the price at Home Depot. The handles are much more comfortable to use than the acetate handle Craftsman screwdrivers.

As mentioned, Vessel is excellent, among the best.

That said, Wera is almost as good and a fraction of the price so I can recommend them as well.

I've got a question I've been thinking about lately.

Concerning the OPs Craftsman set. Aren't these covered by a lifetime warranty? I've got a similar set from the 70s that are getting long in the tooth. Will have to ask about this next time I'm in Lowes.

Has anybody else come across this situation ?

I’ve heard great things about Vessel. I have a combo of screwdrivers, Wiha, USA Craftsman, PB Swiss, Klein, Snap on ratcheting.

Wiha standard ones (grey/black handles) are probably my least favorite. Not sure why, just something with the tips.

PB Swiss has great feeling handles, and really nice tips, almost too nice to use for anything dirty.

Standard USA Craftsman are amongst my favorite. Not the smoothest fancy handles or anything, but strong and they just work.

Wiha striking handle drivers are heavy but I like them a lot.

US made Klein insulated I like for a lot of stuff.

If I had to only have one screwdriver in the world, it would be the Snap-on ratcheting driver.

Love these. I love that older SO handle style, and I’m not the biggest fan of the SO soft touch grips for ratchets, but their soft touch screwdrivers are also really super as well.

These are by far my favorite screwdrivers for doing actual real screwdriving. The best $83 you’ll spend!!

Vessel, Wera, Wiha, PB Swiss, are my personal choice. Klein and Williams are up there.
How much do you want to spend. If you're working on Japanese cares get JIS from Vessel.
Just remember that it isn't just straight and phillips any longer.
