I want something softer than paint, so it won't scratch it. Lightweight, so if it slides it won't cause damage. Weather resistant, so it doesn't leave a moldy mess like half-rotten wood.
Something plastic/nylon?

I just got a firebird with t-tops that are notorious for leaking, and would like to park it outside with the roof at least covered through the snowy winter.
I know snow will bear down weight-wise.
Was planning to cover it a little later in the season when most precipitation is expected to be frozen.
The car was repainted, poorly, so if I wind up writing off the paint that's no huge deal. But I'd like to protect the interior/ floor pans.
I wonder if one of those tarp shed/garage would work better. I think the are probably a bit sketchy when it comes to snow load, but I bet a few properly placed 2x3's would seriously strengthen one up. But you'd need a place for one.
