I have a 440cc natural gas powered single cylinder, 4 cycle engine.
Oil requirement for expected operating temperature is listed below:
SAE 30->Above 32F
10W-30->Between 40F and -10F
Synthetic 5w30->10F and below.

My area temperature swings from 10F to 100F. What should I use?

Perfect recommendation ! +1.

Is it run year-round or usually winter or summer? I use M1 Ow-40 in my generator. Ready for any temp.

I would use a 10w30 because they have lower NOACK volatility than the others. The benefit of nat gas is you will not get any fuel soot or problems with fuel dilution in the oil, and the engine will stay amazingly clean. You will have no issues with 10w30 in NJ year-round. I would go for a quality Mobil 1 if it were mine.

Not only do synthetic oil give you the widest temperature range, they can take the really long running times a generator may encounter when used. 5w30, 10w30, 0w40, or a 5w40(HDEO) full synthetics are all good choices.
