Go ahead on!! It ceased being interesting in the late 60's and early 70's. Nothing but cookie cutter cars with a LOT of driver diversity publicity. John--Las Vegas.

I think that many NASCAR fans don't enjoy the NASCAR road races that much because the producers/commentators don't know how to present a televised roadrace. Just an observation from watching the broadcast of Sears Point last weekend.

I enjoy Grand Am more, as they have a mix of straight prototype racecars and production-based cars. I like Aussie V-8 Supercars, too.

If there was at least some tangible aspect of NASCAR that was production-based it would be cooler.

I'll keep my opinion of ovals under my hat...

ok hear goes. i dont like all the crashes. tells me that they arent as good of drivers as they would tell you. now ill be baned again.

It is OK Morris. The NASCAR of today is more like MTV meets the Iraqi Propaganda Ministry. Sell, sell, sell. The NASCAR of the old days was good, hard racing.

I don't know anything about Nascar, but it seems to me they have too many cars in the race, and that always leads to crashes. The only Nascar I watch is an occasional highlight on ESPN, and there's always a crash.

This pretty much sums up NASCAR.

maybe the cars are on drugs. "but it seems to me they have too many cars in the rce," SO TRUE. take alook at how "speedway motor cycles" race, NOT flat-trackers

This pretty much sums it up for me. I'm sure at one time NASCAR was a very interesting form of racing, but the way it is now, I just can't get interested in an oval track with overly regulated, homogenous cars.

I live in the heart of NASCAR country...close enough I can hear the cars going around the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway from inside my house. I still can't get into it. I think the dirt track across the road is cooler.

I've lost a lot of interest in NASCAR over the last 5 years or so. Lots of reasons why. I suspect a lot of other fans have also.

Sadly, soon it will probably be a Toyota ONLY engined/sponsored spec series.

Nascar is so BORING! The last great season was about 1990. Have not watched a entire race on TV in years. Went to the Bud Shootout in Daytona in in 2007. From our seats you could hardly see any of the track. It is just a big money grab now. Wreckin' is not racing IMO.

i realy like drag racing. my dad took me to my first drag race in 1955 greatbend ks. it was the first national drag race by NHRA. the next year it was a AHRA event. about 7 years ago i talked to a guy that actually raced the two events. he still has the 48-50 Oldsmobile he used back then. then in the 1960s, my dad and i went to Tulsa each fall , to the worlds points finals. got to see cars such as, the hurst hemi under glass, the little red wagon, the hurst hairy oldsmobile, a two engine dragester called the freight train. i have many fond memories of my dad, that i will never forget.
