NASCAR claims they use the same oils you and I can buy off the shelf.NHRA (Top fuel and funny car) has never made that claim but do promote oils that sponsor them. I'm sure both types of cars,NASCAR and NHRA-TF&FC,use a very heavy add package in their oils.Anyone know anything about the oils they use?

When I built my hot rod engines I used Kendall Nitro 70.

Hey they still use carburators in Nascar; if they can't afford fuel injection, they can't afford synthetic oils either!
Well-one of the members has stated that at least one F1 team has been proven to use Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40, but NASCAR is so heavily regulated, all the bodies pretty much exactly identical, that engine oil is probably one of the few things that can be experimented with.
when i worked at the mile hi nationals pedragon bros. uses red line so do alot others...the amalie top fuel uses amalie 60 wt.lubeatech is used,,i seen mostly 60 wt.

Their oil is indeed subjected to harsh conditions, but for all of 2-3 hours. Then the motor gets torn down and rebuilt. Their use case is way different from mine.

You can often buy 'cup parts on E-bay, such as cylinder heads. Don't know how useful some of the other parts would be, but the heads definitely aren't scrapped.
