Napa Nascar - ADBV & Relief Valve

I know that the Napa Nascar has a different filter media as compared to the Napa Proselect/Silver. But what about its ADBV and relief valve ? Do the Nascar's ADBV and relief valve have the same design and material as the Proselect/Silver ? or are they different ?

Generally I have found construction (aside from media and ADBV material) to be consistent across all three lines.

Recently I found ProSelect using combined bypass/ADBV design. See this url for p/n's effected. This design also used in Champ eCore filters (eg. ST).

I can't say if the same is used in any NASCAR filters.

NASCAR and ProSelect use nitrile ADBV while Gold line uses silicon material.

The only way to know is find (or do) teardowns of your particular filters as there are variation across the line.

BTW, I think NASCAR and ProSelect are good filtration for the price so long as your app doesn't need the better silicon ADBV, one of mine does.

The Napa Nascar and Napa Proselect are transitioning over to a new "Combination Valve" this valve incorporates the ADBV & By Pass Valve in one unit, they also have different filter medias with the Nascar being of higher quality then the Pro select, over time both of these filters are drifting further away from the part sharing of the Napa Gold including the center tubes are now different, locally some Napa stores have some old style filters left while some Napa stores have all the models consisting of the new construction, my opinion is they have not improved in quality but have went in the other direction to improve cost and price point however with that being said they must still meet car manufacture approval or they could not sell them.
