Quart was manufactured in 2024
API SN, LL-01, MB 229.5, 229.3, 226.5, VW 502/505, A40, ACEA A3/B4

I mailed the sample to Oil Analyzers Indianapolis on Monday and received the report by Wednesday. On my submission form I did not include product brand or information. Only product viscosity grade.

Not as high starting viscosity as the 0w-40 you tested but this should be stable oil still. They use a lot of magnesium for the D&D. Thanks for testing this Euro Napa oil.

When I looked at Napa's 5w-40 bottles earlier this week there was no mention of any manufacturer approval/licensing

I would think it would leave more room for error so I make sure to fill it all out.

Compared to other VOAs, it looks very similar to M1 Euro and Castrol Euro. Price is right around the same as well ($28 per 5qts). Even though it's API SN, the Ca/Mg combo looks like API SP.

Right but those all appear to be recommendations, not actual approvals. Hence my earlier post that you can get something with actual approval for less.
