No need to rush an oc when you can pause at anytime to eat lunch and have the added assurance of minimal contamination. lol

The ZT-2200 is a sealed transmission was that assembled in a clean room environment.
In past couple weeks, I collected a set of tools to mitigate potential oil contamination and assist purging, oil refilling and oil level verification.

The Cub Cadet ZTR RZT-42S has a convenient engine compartment access hole to access/remove the ZT-2200's top filler plug.
In the pic, all hydraulic fittings have 9/16"-18 thread. Just shop ur local hydraulic parts store.

The Process:
Remove the top filler plug. Use the 1/4"-6" straight Bondhus 33612 hex wrench with eBay purchased neodymium ring magnet (stole it from the wife's refrigerator door).
The added assistance makes it near impossible to DROP the filler plug. The pink nylon cord is used to easily remove the magnet from the filler plug during removal and re-installation.
Works great!

Replace top filler plug with the straight barb fitting. Can u do an oil re-fill ( use a 5/16" vinyl tube 1qt fluid transfer pump) or tape it shut prior to eating lunch or leave it open during the final purging.
Remove the breather tube and replace it with the 90 degree fitting. The trans is no longer sealed and it is now possible to do a rapid transmission oil fill or an extended purge.

Use the water bottle cap and pipette to accurately measure oil level (1.5"- 0.75") from the engine compartment access hole.

Sorry, the oc task has been completed and the earliest availability for the video would be next summer. Stay tune.

How "we" do it....through the drain plug....

Just build/make special attachment wich you can stick in that plug...and wich on the other side fits/is tight on the filling tube...couple that tube on the oil pump and voila...

And when gearbox is full...just quickly tighten the plug...then refill upper oil reservoir...and check oil level after the first ride...

Nice configuration, but the ZT-2200 does not have a filter for drainage and it has a top fill plug + a 90 degree breather plug with a hose attached to zero reservoir. Overflow drains into the environment. Oil extraction& oil re-fill is done through the top fill plug.
