Well, for the 9972 it matters to me not.

Why can't this stuff just stay the way it was?
Like back in the day when you bought WIX and knee you got a quality product.
Now things change rapidly and many brands are sold/bought and quality suffers, or is made by lowest bidding 3rd party.

WIX is now garbage IMO. When “mergers” happen it’s 99% time lights out on quality. We all saw the proof from “made in Mexico” Pro Tec to other M&H filters. I’m glad it didn’t stay way it was as the old M1 Puro filters are pieces of

The truth is that Endurances don't sell when there are tons of other cheaper options. And walmart wants something that sells a lot to justify occupying all that shelf space.
Example you have the Supertech MP line. Excellent filter, but wasn't selling too well so it got axed.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for these going to clearance price at my local store. I'll have to grab one of those new Purolators, too.
Matters to me and customer insight and opinions should matter to any organization. The revenue from my purchases and the recommendations of their oil filters on the premier oil forum on the internet has dried up. So again I say nice job First Brands.

My local Walmart moved all endurance filters to the clearance section for $12.97. I checked out a few Purolator gold can. They all looked like they had choked off louvers
Fram Ultra should be safe on the shelf at WM.
Because they are quality filters. Purolator junk is just that.Is very one making a mad rush to Walmart for the last Endurance filters? Even with the leaky valve bypass valve issue?

Went into local Walmart again last night and all fram endurance were gone besides one in the clearance section for $2.50.
My WM just marked them all down to $2 this week. Someone already grabbed all the 9972 and 7317 in the few days I wasn't looking. I'm not that interested in the ones for my Cummins. Oh well.
The 9688 endurances are $3 each at wal mart near Ohio line. The lady grabbed last 9 of them. I’m proud
I never saw any FE go on clearance in my local WM. Admittedly I didn't look very hard as I have little to no interest in "premium" filter with a flawed bypass piece seal area that off the shelf allows dirty oil bypass.
Like the Fram HM in the past, still thinking there's a possibility some WM FE could show up for sale on Rock Auto. If so, have at it, I won't be purchase competition.
