I really enjoy my vinyl, but cannot contemplate spending that much for an album. I suspect they sound awesome!

Yes, those records are pricy. They’re also all limited releases. Each one is made from the original master tapes & mastered on an all analog studio on 200g vinyl. Even the paper for the covers are of the highest quality.
Are they something I’d be purchasing regularly? Heck no. If one of my favorite albums happens to be offered? Yup.
For most, an SACD setup would suffice for less money. Differences are similar between SACD & Redbook as a top quality pressing vs UHQR.
