My old LP's

You guys that like classical music would love the thrift shop near me, over run with estate donations so the go very cheap. I've found some cool stuff there Bent Fabric and his Orchestra, Firesign Theater before they were named that. Odd ones from the past....
Nice.

My wife came equipped 40+ years ago with a full and excellent classical collection. Very nice. None damaged that I have found.

Was given two boxes of records by an older gentleman. Only 5 or 6 are keepers. Lots of boxed sets of “favorite melodies “ or just really poor condition. This is one of the keepers. Early Frank Sinatra compilation. Released in 1972.

Part of the problem with me is the quality of live recorded albums. The intensity and emotion of live recordings is a plus but the quality just isn’t there. YMMV.

Couple more from my distant past. Doing knee rehab to the oldies! Meniscus tear while skiing. Related to my post on EV mileage to a ski area.
Beatles album pristine but BS&T pretty beat up. Must have lent this one out. Didn’t think much about that back then. Still a great album and listenable.

Getting addicted to thrift store finds. Can’t keep myself from stopping in….and buying! Allows me experience different music that I would find it hard to spend full retail. Purchased 18 albums (some boxed sets) for $14. All excellent to pristine! HELP.
Mono version 1967 pressing.

I won’t continue posting after this. I’m sure everyone is getting bored with these. Last one due to age. Found this 1955 pressing RCA Red Seal recording of Artur Rubinstein. Doesn’t say it but must be mono. Dead silent background with incredible sound. Like new.

I still think it is very cool. I may not have the same tastes, but how many people now are keeping such cool "tech" alive. How many people are collecting and listening to classical on vinyl? And some unique stuff at that.

Actually-many of Tichsikovsky's works played by various Philharmonic's around the country are on Amazon music. This is exactly why I liquidated my LP collection about 3 or 4 years ago. I don't need the tactile experience of touching vinyl-and Amazon's Music collection is extensive and available with a simple verbal command.
