I suppose this belongs in Tools rather than Small Engines with other Yard & Garden items since it uses an electric motor.

Picked it up this morning, one exterior cleaning job is complete, and I am very satisfied. 2000psi max pressure so it can clean decks and wooden surfaces well without the risk of damaging the wood. I have seen some people completely destroy a wooden deck using too high of pressure. Their own fault obviously, but why risk it?

Target wants $265 for this unit, Home-Depot wants $230, Meijer sells it via "on-line only" for $200 but their web site includes a 15% coupon code dropping the cost to $170. Free Shipping if you have it shipped to a local Meijer store for your pickup.

Compact and Powerful, or powerful enough for typical home use. Only draw-back is no reel or hooks to wrap the power cord around. Oh well, I wrapped the cord around the body of the machine and the cord will help hold the accessories in their holsters.

I've got the same brand 1800PSI unit and love it. About 3 years old using it for cleaning up the driveway and garage, washing vehicles, stripping paint, cleaning fences/house and washing the salt off the vehicles during the winter.

Seen a lot of use and still working just fine. I do NOT regret not getting a more powerful unit for MY needs.

Karcher's X-series doesn't show up on their Residential user site under that name, but some of the residential machines have the X-shaped case front. Based on what information is available on the site you linked I would say the two machines are nearly identical except for two parameters.

1 - The X-series uses a water cooled motor for longer life, important to someone who will use the machine extensively.

2 - The X-series cost $100 more than I paid.

Same pressure, same flow rate, same accessories. The answer as to which is the better pressure washer depends on how frequently you intend to use the machine.
