My mom got a new car

She picked up her 2009 Honda Accord LX today, in silver.

It's just a lease, but she got it during the Honda Clearance for a nice $189/mo.
I got to take it to the grocery store today, and it is a very nice car. Very spacious on the inside and a nice dashboard. The ride is smooth and much quieter than her previous Pilot. The trunk is huge also.

It also has one of my favorite engines, the 2.4L four banger. Smooth as silk and nearly silent while at idle. And 30mpg highway. Much better than the Pilot mileage.

All in all, a very solid car.

Tell your Mom congrats. Good car. I'm still driving my 1999 Accord LX (4cyl). Zero problems, great mileage and still looks like new. Best purchase I ever made.

That's funny, in my opinion the new Accord is finally starting to look really nice on the outside, but IMO the interior is an unergonomic atrocity.

It was a 2005, and she didn't have any problems at all. Most reliable vehicle she has owned. Oil and filter changes were all it needed (and a set of tires).

Hopefully this behaves the same way!

congrats! it should be just as reliable as the Pilot - and use less fuel. perhaps when her lease is almost up you can drop me a line - I'll need a new car by then and an off-lease deal would be tempting! a real nice dinner for y'all !

Congrats. If the current V6 Accord was out when I bought my TL, I may have gotten the Accord instead.

I'm not sure about the current gen Accords, but I sure miss my 95 5spd LX.
