3-20-04 117400 36.6 mpg 20 mph tailwind.
3-20-04 117586 21.1 mpg 20 mph headwind.
3-23-04 117699 33.3 mpg
3-23-04 117799 33.3 mpg
3-26-04 117983 34.6 mpg
3-29-04 118129 29.2 mpg
4-02-04 118306 33.2 mpg
4-04-04 118359 AutoRX rinse phase started.
4-12-04 118507 33.8 mpg 4 oz FP
4-13-04 118711 34.7 mpg 3 oz FP
4-13-04 118852 32.7 mpg 1 oz FP
4-22-04 119052 33.9 mpg 1.5 oz FP (strictly city)
4-22-04 119158 36.2 mpg 0 oz FP (put in under 3 gallons of gas)

I usually get 32 to 33 unless it's windy or a lot of city driving. I got almost 34 in the city on my 3rd tank of gas. I got 36.2 today which beats my best mileage since September except when I had a 20 mph tailwind!

I'd guess my mileage suffered on the 3rd tank because things were being cleaned out. I'm hooked.

Edit: When I say "4 oz FP" I mean it was added after the tank was filled. So to see how it effected mileage you have to look at the next tank.

Darkdan, I don't see a definite difference.

I tossed out the two high wind tanks, the 29 mpg tank because it was an outlyer, and the last tank because it's difficult to impossible to get an accurate reading with a 3 gallon fill.

A trendline plot through the remaining data points is nearly a flat line.

Great another believer! Do you use lube control too or just fuel power? I use both and got about the same increase.

XS, all of those are 3 to 6 gallon fills, with maybe a 7 or 8 thrown in.

Take off the top two because of wind. The other six give you an average of 32.9. The bottle 4 average 34.3 mpg. I'm really impressed with the strictly city driving. I usually don't get much past 30 with all city driving.

If you want, I have records back to Sept 19th 2003.

I only use FP.

Not only the increase in MPG, but the more important part is you have a cleaner engine because of FP. Which will help prevent future problems and headaches.

Well my engine is one of the dirtiest in the world I'm guessing. No major sludge problems, but varnish up the yin yang!

I haven't noticed a huge improvement from the autorx yet, but I'm only 500 miles into the rinse phase and I still need to do another cleaning and rinse. Although I have noticed my HLA have quieted down a lot, but that may be due to the warmer weather. Usually if I let it sit a day or two they'll be noisy again, but that hasn't happened since I started the rinse phase. I don't think it has any seal problems.

Maybe later today or tomorrow I'll grab the book and go back to when I started autorx and see if it went up a noticable amount. I'm just hoping to stop the HLA noise and get rid of some of that varnish.
