I solicited feedback here about the Toyota Venza a while back and finally got around to making a purchase. Thanks to @JeffKeryk and others that provided encouragement to me.

I traveled about three hours to a different state to make the purchase. A combination of higher manufacturer rebates outside of my home geographic region, higher trade-in offer, lower dealer fees, and higher dealer discount resulted in an OTD difference of $4.3k dollars vs what l was quoted locally.

What did l do with that $4.3k? I splurged for the fully loaded model with the HUD, and the super cool stargaze moonroof. The OTD price for the fully loaded model was still less than the mid level trim OTD price from my local dealers.

I will provide a more detailed review after l get familar with it and learn how to use the tech.

My initial impressions are positive.

A few pics are attached.

Beautiful car! I've been liking the Venza. There's nothing to suggest that it won't be a fantastic vehicle for the long haul.
Also, my experience with HUDs is very positive. I wish more manufacturers offered them; it's an awesome feature.

Congrats on the new Venza. They do look impressive.

I agree with your opinion on the HUD. That’s the best thing that has come around in some time.

Congrats and good to hear that you were able to save by shopping around. I am curious what geographical area are you talking about.

Central Atlantic. It covers DE,MD,PA, VA, and maybe other states. The incentive gap between other areas has closed a bit, but it was a $1k difference as late as last week.
The KBB value for my trade-in was also higher in that area. l was offered 30% more for my trade ($2000 additional) . That extra 2k combined with the other savings bumped the difference to over 4K. The way l look at it is that l was paid 4k to take a day trip out of state.
