It makes more sense than the depreciation hit on a new vehicle, which will be a rusty piece of junk after 5-6 years here. I see a lot of guys buying $80-90,000 trucks that have frame and body rust after 2 years, especially those used for plowing.


Nissan leases are quite tempting. Usually you can get a Sentra for $200 a month with nothing down or a Rogue front wheel drive. Either way, it's hard to hit that amount with depreciation on anything but a real cheap beater. And no repairs, fighting with rusty bolts, etc.
