ok I know this may sound funny but I have a 03 dakota 4.7 and I just put PP in my truck. I noticed now it kicks down easier when I press the gas. but I think mine is my superchip programmer on 91 setting that is casuing that. I wouldnt worrry about it. I would rather it shift easier liek that. than to press the gas and it bog down and not want to shift.

try reseting the PCM and clear everything. then see how it does.

I had a 2002 Ram 4.7 and every 30-40k I had the throttle body and injector cleaner run in it and it ran like a new truck. I had the dealer flush mine.Hope this helps.

I was hoping for some serious answers but I guess I'll try different gasoline the next time I fill up.

I'm running some injector cleaner through it right now. I'm beginning to think the truck just doesn't like the added weight of a full tank of gas. I've been keeping it full instead of spending $60 on a fill up. I have 31 inch tires and only 3.55 gears with an overdrive tranny.
