About 6 weeks ago my dog fell and started limping, only lasted about a week or so and got better, so we didn't take her to the vet. Now the limp is back again, not as bad but still noticeable, should we take her to the vet or does anyone have an idea of what it could be. She is a German Shepard - Grayhound Mix. TIA

Go to the vet. One of our dogs had a limp and it turned out to be a broken hip.
First, not a vet. But I do have an English Springer Spaniel experiencing a similar thing. Comes and goes but worse with vigorous exercise. A pure guess, it could be the beginning of shoulder or hip displasia.
That said, best to see the vet again and explain what's going on.

Since your dog can't tell you what is wrong, it is best to take her to the Vet and get it checked out.
Vet for sure, hip problems/injuries in dogs are common, if caught early the outcome is usually a lot better than if left alone. Plus the poor baby is in obvious pain, let the expert decide how to approach the problem.

Since it's not her hips something def injuried. Dogs have a very high pain tolerance, so it's sad to see them suffer.
Our old fat Rott tried to "pull" herself into the truck. She limped for about a month. Now it comes and goes. I wish we hadn't let her try that on her own (she didn't have a chance of doing a pullup with her big butt).

One more vote for a trip to the vet. Our dog stopped wanting to walk then we noticed a limp when she went down stairs. She has a partially torn ACL.

Our boy started limping and would avoid putting down his right front paw. After a few visits to the vet (blood work, x-rays, ultrasound, etc.) with little success, he recommended a neurologist.
Without performing an MRI (+$2100) to be sure, the neurologist took a best guess that there was some spinal cord trauma and began treatment with an oral anti-inflammatory. It's been three weeks and he's doing much better.
I know vet care is prohibitively expensive. I was surprised that the neurologist bills are orders of magnitude less than the regular vet visits.
I hope your friend starts feeling better soon.
