Pretty thin story.

No mention of abuse but I suspect some aggressive driving as well.

I always find it amusing when people trash out the vehicle and then try to claim workmanship problems.

Maybe he was good but I have my doubts when it could be engine damage.

IMO, There is absolutely no reason an unmodified engine operating at stock power output shouldn't be able to take even the worst on-off switch driver.
