Our Fit's OEM 151R battery lasted 3 years. It was 340 CCA, IIRC. It got replaced by a Miata U1R (IIRC) battery with more CCA and a much lower price tag. The local Honda dealer wanted $100+ for that battery, while the Miata battery was $60 at Advance. More CCA for cheaper? Sign me up...

I seriously doubt they have a 300CCA battery. That is too small...that's what my Harley battery is. With all the electronics on today's cars the smallest size is usually atleast 525cca.

My daughters 2009 civic battery was 310 cca. I replaced it with a 500cca with a 3 year replacement from autozone so when she leaves the lights on for 2 weeks she can get a new one while at college. The Honda battery was real basic.

Battery technology has not advanced fast enoughf? Or the Car companies are just cheaping out on us. Maybe we can implement some of that 1960's NASA Appolo mission technology?
