Musty A/C smell

Well, I am going through this so here is the deal.
First, you have to be careful what kind of chemical you are using. I once used DUCT you can find in Auto Zone and other stores, and had chemical smell for several weeks.
Get Einszatt Klima Cleaner from Amazon.
Get Lysol.
1. Take out all AC filters. Your car might have one like my wife's VW Tiguan, or three like my BMW. Get them out, buy new ones if they were not changed.
2. Once you got your filters out, find evaporator/AC drain tube and unclogged it with hanger wire or similar wire.
3. Once you unclogged that, turn your car and vent (not AC) on to max. Apply Lysol to hole where air gets in vent system and should be in the engine compartment (just below windshield). Apply generously (I used half of big can). Switch between cold vent, hot vent, leg direction, windshield direction, body direction, then turn AC do all over again, cold, hot etc. Make sure ventilations runs for like 30 mins so Lysol dries out.
4. After you disinfected ventilations tubes, apply Einszatts through blower (try to find blower). You will get with Einszatt plastic hose so push it as far as possible. If you cannot find blower, try to push plastic hose through AC drain tube as far as possible. SHake well before application. Apply whole can and left for 20-30 min.
5. Turn on AC make sure it runs for some time and make sure water is leaking through drain tubes, so that Einszatts can leak out with all mold etc.
6. If you do not clean drain tubes you will not solve problem. Actually, you will make it worse because Lysol will stay in drain pan and create even worse smell. Trust me I know. I did all this two days ago on bimmer, but could not find drain tubes.
IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE DRAIN TUBES ON BMW E70 ARE, PLEASE HELP!

Which car? Cabin air filter?

If possible, pull the blower motor and inspect the evaporator. That's where the cleaner will do the most good.
