For some reason I thought it might be them. Honestly, I don't understand their thinking at all. I would think a good synthetic of the correct weight would be the *best* choice for this thing...

I've been using Castrol GTX 20W-50 in my Chevelle SS LS6(454), but only drive it in the sunmmer and change it every spring. I have never had any issues and not expecting any.
