Moving to Florida and UV damage

Unpopular opinion here, I suspect:
Consider getting rid of the car. You don't use it much and car insurance in Florida is supposedly expensive.
Insurance is extremely expensive. Average is 2400 bucks a year.

A lot of people when they move down here from another state do not register their vehicle down here and just keep the plates they came down with. If they have to go back for inspections they take a short vacation and go back and do it when it is due. Right now I have vehicles from Michigan,Wisconsin,Texas Virginia,Georgia and New York in my large development. The owners have been down here for years. They are not snowbirds.

You need to GTH out of Miami! Mine (full coverage on a loaded F-150 in Orlando) is less than half that. You couldn't pay me enough money that I would live within 100 miles of Miami!

We inherited a relative's car from out of state and kept it here for 6 or 7 years and never registered it in Florida. Getting insurance with the car registered in one state and kept in another was a problem with some companies but USAA didn't have a problem with it.

OP, don't move into a condo or a subdivison with an HOA or you will regret it!
