Mounting a pet after death?

Could never have a pet mounted. We bury ours on the property wrapped in a quilt made by my wife. The last dog (in my avatar) we had the vet cremate her. It was just too hard to bring her body home 😢

A version of my beloved friend that looks deranged and mangy after a few years, I don't think so.

I have the ashes of my beloved Australian Cattle Dog that passed in 2018. When I pass, the instructions are to stick googly eyes on my ash urn and place me where I can see the TV until I can be spread on a secluded beach with "Kiwi".
A beer, preferably German, will be left at the sight so that I may spend eternity sitting on a beach with my dog and a cold beer. ;) 🍻

With the Chicago Cubs moving to Salt Lake City, it is reported that the land that will formally be known as Wrigley Field, will be repurposed into a pet cemetery. Burying a beloved deceased pet at the land soon to be formally known as Wrigley Field might be a better match than mounting a pet after death.
