Greetings from Minnesota!
Just joined (post #2), but have a question. I have a long list of recommended oils for my car, but not all are available either in the US or locally, in general. One that comes up as a possibility is MOTUL 8100 5W40 X-cess. Any experience?

Thanks--I've been looking around here for a couple hours now, wow--lots of information!

It is a foreign oil. You can get it in Canada or mail order from some companies in the U.S.

Being it is an Ester type oil it would be similar to a Redline Oil.

I had the best oil analysis in my Saab with this oil. Would use it again in a second. What vehicle is this going in? Motul does not see much use here, partly because it is a French oil....

Thanks all! This is one of the approved oils for Porsche, so I was going to give it a try. Appreciate the input very much.
