I just thought I'd update I put on a motorguard transmission bypass filter I bought from Ralph. I installed it at 130,000 miles on my 2000 blazer along with a pan drop and filter change. I changed the TP roll every say 5,000 miles or so, I could not believe how well the filter worked. I'd say the first 4 changes the TP came out a GREY color and progressively changed to a bright red color. It now has 165,000mi and is working great. I bought a 2000 GMC Jimmy (the same truck) and it has 110,000mi. I took the transmission bypass filter and installed it into the new truck today and will let it work its magic. Of course I installed a magnefine it its place in the 2000 blazer. Just thought I'd pass along my experience and a thanks to Ralph for a great product.

That's one thing about ATF, fuel and motor oil on a propane engine you can see the contamination in the element. Back in the 60's on my Rambler I used to squeeze the element on the top and clean oil would come out. Squeeze the dirty end and sludge would come out. With these modern engines and additives it's hard to tell. It is normal for the ATF to be dirtier than the engine oil even though the ATF looks nice on the dipstick.
