Motorcraft Oil Filter - 2004 GMC Denali

I was shopping on Amazon and when I put in my information on my 2004 GMC Denali, one of the results came back for a motorcraft filter FL2030 . I've read that Motorcraft filters are specd specifically for Ford engines.

Would this still be a good filter for my 6.0L in the GMC? I like the convenience factor of picking up my filters and oil at Walmart, but occasionally order from Fleetfilter and Filter1 in bulk.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I wouldn't hesitate to use a Motorcraft filter on a GM vehicle (or any other), since they are excellent filters and good values.

Just make sure that the FL2030 is the correct filter for your application.

In fact, I just checked it as a cross-reference at the Wix website, and the FL2030 is the correct filter for your application.

I say go for it!

Has anyone come across a Motorcraft oil filter application listing for vehicles other than Ford products?

you have to go to the buyers guide and put in the short part number, ie FL-820s vs f1az-6731-bc. that will tell you what that part fits.
