Motion sensor question?

I am looking for motion sensors that can be placed around a large building on the outside. Preferably 24 VAC power to these motion sensors, or battery powered, and capable of having multiple units tied in parallel, or set up so that when one or more trips, power to some 120 Volt AC lights can be turned on for a few minutes, such as having the 24 VAC power a relay for the 120 AC lights.

The side of this building would be hard to wire 120 AC wires to, so battery powered motion sensors that can handle winter and summer temperatures, or low voltage wired sensors would be preferred.

Also, it would be nice to know what units are reliable.

Below zero temperatures are problematic for motion sensor batteries. So are extremely warm ambient temperatures that are close to that of normal body heat for the sensor.
