Mother's Black on Black

Saw this product for polishing the exterior trim. Wanted to know if this forum likes this product? Thanks

Do you mean Mother's Back to Black? I use to use it, but switched to Meguires Gold Class Trim Detailer. The Meguires is harder to find (at least where I live) but it provides a longer lasting treatment than the Mothers.

I've been happy with Mother's Back to Black. I have some "Leatherlyke" brand saddlebags on my motorcycle. They're ABS plastic that are made to look like leather saddlebags. Except they're locable, and hold thier shape better.

Back to Black lasts longer than any of the other plastic protectants I've tried. I haven't tried the Mequires product mentioned above - I'll have to try that.

Mother's Back to Black has been difficult to find locally - even among autoparts stores that carry other Mothers polishes.

I think I'm going to give up and spray with a semi-gloss clear coat, though .

I've used B2B in the past and have been fairly satisfied. The only problem I've had is that it tends to run a little in the rain. Alternatively, I've also used 303 on the trim before and was pretty satisfied. However, it tends to run too, if not properly buffed out. The key in the whole process is to make sure the area is clean before application and that the product is completely buffed.

As a last resort you could try some Forever Black on your trim, but unlike the other products, this is a dye and is permanent.

I like it, I find it at K-Mart and Auto Zone but not at Wally-World.

The stuff is actually white and works real nice on the grey flares and trim on my Ranger besides the black parts.

I found some at O'reilly Auto Parts. Have not tried it yet though.
