Our local water supply is loaded with Calcium. It's good for your bones but not good for a cooling system. Deionized or Distilled water only for radiators here but some people either don't know or are too cheap to buy that at the store.

You got to be kidding me! Distilled H20 costs what, under a buck a gallon, at Wal-Mart?
Heck, I'm cheap, and I still spring for distilled water for coolant mixing.

Visalia is a different aquafer than ours. In Some places well water may be fine but not here.

I have a distilling machine that I make big batches of water with.
I's a hog on power consumption though.
The water around here is pretty good to use as is. But I want 0 impurities.

If you take you own bottles, you can get purified water at Walmart for I think $.39

Spend the extra .30 cents a gallon and get distilled.
Their "purified" is RO and there will still be garbage in it since it is still the water from that area.

)worth the .73 cents a gallon. Here lime is a big problem, I use ONLY distilled and straight coolant with never any problems for many decades...

Wow, you met a trucker who used 20 gallons of tap water due to a leak. So now, therefore, all truckers use Tap water.
The only truckers using Tap Water are the ones who don't know better.
