Mopar Filters @ WallyWorld

Just saw that the local Walmart now carries Mopar brand filters with the Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep logos on them.

Anyone know who makes this filter and if its any good? If it is, I may try on on my 02 Dakota. It was priced at just shy of $5.00. I typically use a Wix filter.

Another item of note was that my WalMart had all of their Mobil 1 Extended Performance filters on clearance for $5.00.

Purolator makes them ..or did. You can tell if you look on the bottom. You'll see 3 hole 4 hole 16 hole ..or 3/4-16 thread. It's the same for MotorCraft.

I'd grab a few Mobil 1 filters in your size at that price.

Your lucky, all the Walmarts around me carry FRAM filters only. I now go elswhere for filters.

Active Wolf > Buy them great filter, Purolator made but better with the by pass valve in the open end of the canister like Wix.

I have seen that the High Performace Mopar Filters were made by Fram at one time but I do not know if that is currently the case, but heads up for noticing that!

ACDelco, FRAM, Supertech, Motorcraft, and Mopar are at my Walmart.

As long as they have the 3 - 4 - 16 stamped on the end plate ..they're Purolators. Fram was the OEM MOPAR filter as recently as 1999 ..probably later.

If it is a cummins filter is is made by Fleetguard.
