As far as filters go I believe Mopar has Fleetguard with Mopar lableling.
I use a Baldwin BT7349 oil filter on my 92 dodge cummins, The casing is STRONG, great filtering and media, overall construction is excellent. Heavy casing and good specs, Absolute Beta ratio on it is 30 microns, the regular common Fleetguard for my cummins I believe is 40 microns. The Baldwin BT7349 is for Dodge Cummins 1998 and below models, if your cummins is post 98 I can find the right number for you if you like. This BT7349 Absolute Beta ratio is about similar to the Fleetguard Stratapore version at about 30 microns, that Fleetguard Stratapore was about $15.00 the last time I bought one. I dont know if Mopar filter will be stratapore and I doubt , Mopar will probably ding about $14.00 compared to Baldwin.
IMO Baldwin has second to none service/tech staff, I have absolute beta ratios on every Baldwin I use on every vehicle, they will give you any info you want via email, flow rates, bypass pressures etc., just ask, if required they will phone you with more info first hand too, great company and quality. Their website will give most info except absolute beta ratios, get that via email. They have excellent "application" and "cross reference" resources. It is American quality, not offshore [censored] made of cardboard.
I get my Baldwin filters at Serv/Agro in Lethbridge or Medicine Hat, best prices there, look for the 15% off sale in spring at seeding season, I buy $300.00 worth oil filtes and air filters, check out Baldwin air filters and after you compare a Baldwin air filters quality and construction to what you may have in your truck now you will buy Baldwin. I pay about $8.00 Canadian for the BT7349 on sale and $32.00 for the big round air filter, you can also get Baldwin at Aclands/Grainger too. Dont let the very competitive low prices of a Baldwin fool you, they are TOP quality and the first time you pick one up the first thing you notice is the weight of them, then the fine professional machining detail and construction, they are are substantial filters. Serv/Agro is also the Esso dealer where you can get XD3 products.
