I think Rod Millen's record that stood for 13 years was more impressive because more of the road was dirt. They paved the entire upper section of Pike's Peak last year.

When I was 9 years old we were on route to visit friends of family in Montana. We ate a restaurant close to Pikes Peak. It just so happened a few tables over was Mario Andretti and some other drivers.

I do not think I would be close to the road when "Monster" goes by.
