I have considered getting a "Moly" additive from Lubro-Moly. If i was to use Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic 5w30, would i Benefit from this Moly additive?

Maxlife already contains 300ppm of moly.
My last 2 oil changes have been with Redline oil, Which is dosed up with moly. I can report my Mustang has never been quieter, or smoother..The mustang seems to love it.
You wont see any real benefit from it in your Iron Duke 2.5.
The oil you are using is good enough. Maxlife has enough moly and zinc in its additive package to prevent wear in that engine.

If chevrofreak is correct and there's that much i doubt any more would be helpful,that old 2.5 will out live you 2 to 1,run a quality oil/filter and go.
but like department said few of us are running it with noticeable results,i think it's good thing for oil's lacking moly.

.. In that application , it would NOT be a waste, since it is part of a complete Recipe. Adding extra Moly would be like adding an extra Topping, or Frosting. Sure, ya dont need it. But it makes you feel better....
It probably WOULDNT make a lick of difference in MY Iron Duke. But to know there was more Moly..

Honestly though. i have a feud with my local NAPA, so since my car will not see one blinking difference with oor without it (As my oil has a perfect amount it seems,) I will not use 5 to get it.

Additional moly helps to prolong engine life on high loaded moment but i read some additive manufacturer warn against too much moly even organic one
