I use Moly in the Redline MT-90 in my Suzuki Sidekick '98 manual trans and 4WD transfer case. I found Redline MT-90 by itself did not make for slick gearchanges. With Moly added (Shaeffer Moly E.P. additive), the gearchange is better and slicker than fresh off the dealer's lot in January 1999. In fact, I can now change gear without using the clutch.quote:

Canadian Tire used to sell a green plastic bottle of Moly formulated for a manual transmission. Years ago I used this in all my cars (Volvos and Toyotas). The last time I bought it was five years ago for a Renault truck chassis used for a small Winnebago. So far as I know, it works. I found the shifting on an old A.H. Sprite improved noticeably......
I went to buy a bottle for my Suzuki Esteem and found it was no longer available. I see on this forum that moly is not recommended for a manual transmission because of the synchro cones.........
What moly is now made for transmission use and is there a manufacture's website with more info?
I believe Moly does not harm a Manual transmission. Go to Shaeffer's website, they list a good Moly additive.
