Of course, follow the product recommendations.

what about using sub micron fine powder. There's one vendor on ebay that sells these in 15 mg vials, which is more than enough for one oil change.

here, in bulk (170 grams) go for under $30; tempting to stock up on this!

I've tried the fine moly powder, and no observed ill effects. not sure if it did much good either. I have no idea if most of it got stuck in the oil filter or was doing its work on the bearings and cylinders. basically you just shake up the 15 ml of powder in a quart jug of oil and add into the oil.

does anybody know what particle size is on the order of the theshold for oil filters??? one micron? 5 microns? ten?

I'd estimate that oil filters remove most particles bigger than 20-30 microns.

I have a pound of the Ultra Fine Moly for coating bullets, it can be mixed into oil and will easily pass through filters, according to the mfg of the powder. Mixing it into oil is a bit of a chore but it can be done.

if you want a great moly additive i would only use lubegard bio engine oil treatment and lubeatech liq friction reducer both use an organic moly and not a mos2..i would be scared to death putting a powder in my engine!!
