Mobil1 ESP Euro 0w30 and BMW E46 or E90 engines

It's not old stock. It's packaged in the new style bottles. I ordered a bunch just 2 or 3 months ago.

It is available. See the Amazon link I posted earlier. Also, the A3/B4 0W-30 brew has never been available in anything other than quart bottles, so don't bother looking for it in jugs.

Yes. The 0W-30 and 0W-40 PAO percentage and additive formulation is virtually identical. Except for the difference in viscosity they are nearly identical. Both can be used interchangeably.

In fact, for the 7 quart sump on our E90 I sometimes refill with 5 quarts of 0W-40 and 2 quarts of 0W-30. In our VR6 Passat's 6 quart sump I always refill with 5 quarts 0W-40 and 1 quart of 0W-30.

It is a very good oil and more economical than buying 0W-30 in single quarts.

I ordered some Castrol euro 0w30 last month from oreillys and it was c3 not a3- I’ll try the amazon listing and see - I wonder how long oil can be stored 5 yrs? Happy that the Mobil 1 is there and probably will grab 2 5qt jugs soon- thanks for filling me in as always

I run Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 in my 2012 E70 X5 M57 diesel (essentially same engine as in the E90 335D) and my daughter's 2017 X3 35i with the N55 engine. No issues. No oil leaks. No oil use. I change them both at ~5000 mile intervals.
