This oil is still in the vehicle, I changed the filter at this sampling and topped it off. Does anyone see a problem running this until 10K miles? I may add about 6 oz of Valv syn OIL treatment (not engine treatment) this time- for an added boost of the TBN. Or should I not?

Also, should I still use the LC this time around? I am out but I did add the full oz/qt at this sampling (just as if I did a full change)

Any thoughts? I think it looks good for cont use. Do you guys think I should leave it in for the full 10K? I dont want to have to change it over the winter so its either NOW or Spring!!!
Thanks

I think it looks very good for another 5-7k miles and would be a waste to dump it.
You should run an interval with the oil naked to establish the benefit of the stuff you are adding. You are giving way to many variables with the synpower and lc to determine if it's the oil or the boosters. Then after an interval of it naked you can see what effects LC and/or Synpower oil treatment has.
Your wear numbers look awsome but it is only 5k miles on a very good Toyota engine.

Looks excellent. DONT add anything to it. The oil is fine naked and will go 10k easy in this application.

advice taken, I will not add eithre the LC or VSOT and see if the numbers change in anyway the next 6 months. The Valvoline i added was the synpower engine treatment and not the oil treatment so I dont think it added as much to the oil since it was only 6-8 oz of the stuff. LC doesnt have any additive in it correct, its just a solvent?

The LC is OK to add, I think. I think it will just show are reduced solubles/soot.

"LC20 levels the TBN, reduces oxidation, provides an extra measure of lubricity, provides extra rust control, and will literally melt (soften and emulsify) carbonaceous deposits. It then places these carbonaceous deposits into the oil solution. LC20 keeps your oil in good condition and reduces oxidation so well that oil change intervals can be extended."
