Mobil Delvac 15w40 Dino

I read opinions about the varoius 15w40 diesel oils (Shell Rotella, Delo, Motor Craft) and so on. Just wondering about Mobil Delvac 15w40? Walmart has it at a good price less than $8.00 gallon. I have never talked with other 7.3 Power Stroke owners who use/have used this oil. Anyone hear using this oil, what is your opinion of this oil?

The oil is good. Delo 400 if available is better though.

Using it in my dads 7.3 International.

Delo and Devlac are probably top of the heap for conventional HDEO that can be found anywhere

If you look at the cold flow properties it is a bit better than delo and quite a bit better than rotella.

Had a very good UOA with Delvac, plan to go back to it or Delo on next oil change. I think my motor is quieter with the Mobil than the Rotella, but its probably in my head.

X2 I've used it in many different applications from a Jeep to my boat.

Both Delo 400 and Mobil Delvac Super/MX are excellent value for oils.

I've been using 2 gal Delvac 15W40 with 1 gal Mobil 1 T&S as they seem like good candidates for blending.

Rotella-Delo-Mobil Delvac-->15W-40 are 3 of the best Conventional oils for your PSD. U can't go wrong with either of these 3. You will have good results with the MotorCraft 15W40 as well.

Also-->{Don't neglect your Oil Filter. Spend a bit extra and get a Quality One}. {Or Spend a alot more and ad a single or dual By-Pass, well worth the money}.

I myself use Delo... I like the extra Moly.
Next winter I will change to Delo 5W-40 Synthetic for Yr Round Use.


I would use Mobil Delvac and Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5W-40 mix. Like 1sttruck states above. But the Truck/Suv is no longer available in my area.
{That's the reason for me using Delo}.

I have always ued the MC 15w40, with no complaints, I think it is a quality oil. Only problem is, I can't find it in the gallon jugs. Walmart sells it by the quart containers not fun buying 15 qts. Even the local Ford dealers in my area do not stock the gallon jugs??? Just looking at other oil choice options in the 15w40 area.

I just bought 4 gallons of Rotella T 15w40 for my 06 F250 6.0L at...

The HOME DEPOT. Go figure. $6.97/gal.!!!

Currently running Delvac 1300 was going to go to Delo 400 but couldn't pass up the Shell, especially since I had a Home Depot gift card burning a hole in my pocket!
