Latest Used ATF Analysis Report 10-20

We didn't know what ATF was in our Prevost motorhome 1995 Allison B500 6 speed automatic when we bought it almost 7 yrs ago. We changed the fluid & filters soon after purchasing it with Mobil Delvac 1 Synthetic ATF, an Allison approved TES295 fluid. The tranny holds about 10gals, but you can only get 6 to 7 gals out when doing a fluid filter change. So now, after 2 changes, it should have mostly Mobil Delvac 1 synthetic ATF in it.

We took this ATF sample when doing this change and sent it to JG Lubricant Services Houston TX lab for analysis. Again, the results and a ph conversation with Tom Johnson, aka "Mr. Transynd", indicate there's nothing to be concerned about. This fluid and filters were 6+ yrs old w/26k miles. The bus has 94k miles since new.

We ran that stuff in NYC refuse trucks (one of the toughest vocations) for 75000 miles, drained it out, put it in a new transmission in our (Allison) lab, and ran our life validation test. And it worked fine. That Transynd is hard to kill.

I can understand the copper coming from the cooler coils but where does the lead come from?

Does this transmission have copper-lead alloy bushings in it?
