Hi Guys!

Castrol 0w40 is no longer available where I’m based now.

I can get Mobil 1 Delvac ESP 0w40 easily

I have 3 Cars to maintain.

8 Cyl BMW Turbo Direct Injection
6 Cyl BMW NA Direct Injection
8 Cyl Porsche NA Direct Injection

All out of warranty so not worried about that.

I can do Delvac 1 or Mobil 1 0w40
I feel like Delvac 1 is better Oil on paper ?

Another thing for Delvac is I can buy it in bulk.

thank you

Well, the delvac is more of a true 40 grade and has higher hths. It's also closer in viscosity to the castrol if that matters. I'd go with the delvac, honestly wasn't aware of its existence until this thread, might give it a try sometime.

I do not like diesel specific oils in turbo gas engines. There are more ashless dispersants, higher Noack. I mean on the paper looks really stout, but I would stick to specific gas oils, especially one with MB229.5 approval in that N63.

Thx guys ...
I guess I could have Amsoil EFO shipped in ...
Is Amsoil 0w40 Euro any good ?

thx

Amsoil is good if it meets the marketing requirements of your engines.

When asking what to use, list the required spec for each engine... grade, automaker spec...

Castrol 0w-40 A3/B4 can be ordered thru walmart and either delivered or pick'd up in the store.

I'd like to see a VOA on the Delvac.... 4.1 HTHS and 1% ash.

Has A40

I do like HDEO oils in gasoline engines.
