I did 2 drain & re-fill's on my 02 RAV on the weekend,
it has 108,000kms. Fluid spec'd is T-IV.
what a big difference in shift quality. Before the shifts were ok, and now I can barely feel the gear changes. Great stuff.
The old fluid was deep red, and had ALOT of bubbles in it. Im assuming it was never changed in the 108,000kms.
I did one drain & fill-4 quarts top up- , then drove 500kms and did another drain & fill.

This summer I plan to drop the pan, and replace the gasket, check the magnets., the usual stuff. There is no filter just a screen.

Where did you find 3309? I haven't seen any around the KC area.

I get my Mobil ATF 3309 from the Toyota dealer for $5/qt. Toyota calls it T-IV.

If you must have the Mobil ATF 3309 from Mobil, try to find the local lube distributor in your area the deals with Mobil products. It'll be cheaper too ($3.79?/qt).

Well I live in Canada, and actually bought the 3309 through my esso distributor.
for $4.50/quart in Canuk dollars.,
It came in a 12 quart case., enough for 3 drain/refills.
My local Toyota dealer wanted $8.50/quart for the toyota T-IV fluid. And they said,that the bottle did not state if it was a synthetic fluid. So I went with mobil.
Great stuff I am very impressed.

Actually, the newer Toyota AW transmission have switched back to media filter. Check www.bulkpart.com for a filter or RockAuto.com for a Fram filter kit.
