Are rebates a thing of past? I’m thinking we should have seen one about now.

I don't even remember if they did one last year, the year before it started all the way in July.

M1 used to do two rebate periods a year segmented between March 1st and the end of November, with a break in Summer, IIRC. The past 2-3 years they went to a single period starting in June...
The rebates have become more restrictive (fewer accepted retailers, only gift cards, etc.) and less money than in the past. It also seems they are less frequent. At some point we really need to ask ourselves if it's worth the effort.
Thanks..I was expecting in April, but now anticipations are for June. My Walmart did drop Mobil 1 prices by $2/Jug, but I’m not falling for that cheap bait!
If I can buy it online and submit and receive it digitally then I will do it. If it requires in store and printed copies or the mail then I’m out.
It’s possible-Meijer has been running an mPerks special this month, ends tomorrow. Believe it’s 3,000 points ($3 store credit) on every $10 spent. Here’s hoping it drops tomorrow…

I only had problem once in 5 or so years, which after resubmitting they resolved it.

But I needed some oil anyway and when I went to Walmart i got $3 off a jug for Euro 5w40. Just under $25 a jug delivered in two days. Seems like the new promos are all store dependent.

Last year it didn't start till Jun1 IIRC - but they actually didn't publish it on their website till a few days after.
There was an earlier year, I think maybe 2021, which I think was much later?

Unlikely customer support knows anything. They won't let the marketing cat out of the bag if they did.
In 2022, the rebate program started July 1.
