Remember 20 weight oils do not protect; they are for mileage only....

Too late, Mobil 1 lost me to Redline as a long time dedicated customer over 125,000 miles ago.

Are Mobil 1 Racing oils the exact formulation used by the Formula 1, NASCAR, and Le Mans race teams?
Mobil 1 Racing oils are formulated with the same race-proven, fully synthetic technology used in racing applications around the world. However, typically, Mobil 1 tailors our racing oil technology based on the specifications required by specific teams and/or race applications.

So, last week - wasn't the claim that all these races were won on regular M1?

Yes, Johnny did say that many La Mans teams used M1 5-30, the same as as can be bought at local stores.

If you are referring to my post about the 24 Hours of Daytona, yes. Actually the car that won was using Kendall GT-1 20W-50. The Lexus, Pontiac, and Ford powered cars were using standard old Mobil 1 5w30. Some of the 911's in the GT class were using Mobil 1 0W-40. But I saw no "Racing" Mobil 1 product anywhere.
