Years ago this had a really good reputation as a great oil for the money. Has anything changed? Is it still one of the better options available? For the price at my local walmart id love to use it.

Thanks.

Still one of the best, if not the best 10w40 MC oil by most folks counts here on BITOG. Buy it and use with confidence. Check out the Motorcycle UOA section.

It's done great on multiple 5,000 mile OCI's in my ZRX 1200. Good wear numbers, plenty of TBN remaining but most importantly (to me) stays in grade or pretty close to it and shift quality/feel doesn't fall off over the long haul. Good stuff if you need/want a 10w40 MC oil.

What bike are you looking to use it with? M1 20w50 is just as good in the same ZRX 1200 for 5,000 mile OCI's, as is Redline 20w50 MC oil and Amsoil 20w50.

If it's on sale at Walmart, let us know. Otherwise, it's still a good value for how well it holds up even at $10 a quart.

Im looking to use it in my new 2024 yamaha kodiak 450 atv. Ive always used amsoil but the price is getting too out of hand. 10.00/qt at walmart once a year seems like a fair price to me for very high quality oil. I will probably pair it with a hiflo oil filter.

As an aside, I was impressed with the Amsoil 20w50 V-Twin analysis at well over 5,000 mi in my ZRX 1200 a few months ago. Bought it from Pablo a number of years ago. I still have enough for another oil change. However I'm more about trying different oils to see the additive packages and wear rates. Now Supertech 20w50 V-Twin is in the bike.

I feel most any oil from a major manufacturer is going to provide the protection needed. However, shift feel does fall off with lesser oils when going the recommended 5,000 miles between changes, typically convention oils I have used that can be found in the motorcycle UOA section from years ago or large viscosity spreads such as 5W-40. In any case, it gives us something to talk about on this forum, lol.

I'm currently using it for my second consecutive OCI and sticking with it for the long haul, as I think it's the best value on the market. Use with confidence.
